Jason was one of the first amateur riders for Steve Rocco's company SMA Rocco Division, and eventually World Industries. Jason made an even bigger name for himself on Blind Skateboards as a professional rider, eventually leaving to start Blue Skateboards with Chris Pastras (which turned into Stereo Skateboards). From there, he entered the world of acting through various music videos (Sonic Youth, Redd Kross), and eventually met director Kevin Smith (Clerks, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back). Kevin cast Jason as Brodie Bruce in Mallrats, and the rest was history.
